Adamite steel are a metal known for its ability to withstand high temperatures, making it ideal for use in demanding environments such as foundries and metal processing plants, particularly for steel mill adamite rolls used in the production of steel and aluminum. Additionally, adamite steel is is resistant to corrosion and abrasion, ensuring a longer service life and lower maintenance costs for manufacturers. Acicular eutectic carbides are destabilized at around 600 °C. Therefore, when used for a long period of time under hot rolling conditions, irregularly dispersed eutectic carbides are destabilized, leading to a reduction in roll performance. Stability and lower eutectic carbides are reduced during operation and the requirements of the mill rolls during operation are adjusted accordingly. Maintaining normal temperatures is important to prevent spalling. Studies have shown that the amount of graphite in the roll body increases over time, with graphite elements of 0.95-1.3%. Iron and steel are used in the manufacture of graphite for ductile cast iron. In the manufacture of rolls with a carbon content of 0.9-1.45%, a large inflow of graphite occurs due to the formation of rolls with a two-phase structure.

 

The silicon content must be higher than 0.8% of the steel batch, and silicon is usually added to improve the metal's oxidation resistance and thermal stability, making it more suitable for high-temperature applications; the carbon content must be between 1.1% and 2.4%, and the higher carbon content improves the metal's hardness, making it better suited for heavy-duty applications that require wear and abrasion resistance; manganese is another important element in the chemical composition of diamond rolls, as it helps to increase the hardness and metal strength; the addition of alloying elements such as nickel and chromium enhances the properties of the material, thereby increasing its wear resistance and service life.
