2Hi Rolling Mill
Introduction
2Hi rolling mill is a kind of rolling mill composed of two horizontal rolls arranged up and down in the same vertical plane, mainly used in the metal rolling process. During the rolling process, the rolls provide the deformation resistance required by the rolled piece, and the rolled piece deforms under force. It is divided into reversible type and irreversible type. The reversible mill includes blooming mills, rail and beam mills, medium and heavy plate mills, etc., while the irreversible mill includes billet continuous rolling mills, laminated sheet rolling mills, sheet or strip cold rolling mills, and temper mills, etc.
Characteristics
• Simple structure: It has relatively few components, and is convenient for maintenance and operation.
• Low cost: The manufacturing and purchasing costs are usually lower than those of other more complex rolling mills.
• Lited rolling capacity: For some high-demanding rolling tasks, it may be difficult to meet complex process requirements.
• Limited product accuracy: Compared with some multi-roll mills, it may be slightly inferior in terms of controlling the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of rolled products.
• Relatively low production efficiency: It may not be as good as more advanced rolling mill types in large-scale continuous production.
Main Application
Metal sheet processing: Such as rolling steel plates, aluminum plates and other thinner sheets.
Strip steel production: Used for the production of various widths of strip steel.
Non-ferrous metal rolling: Such as the initial rolling processing of non-ferrous metals like copper and aluminum.
light steel production: Rolling some small section steel products.
Rolling of certain special materials: Also applied in the rolling of a small amount or experimental rolling of some specific materials.
